This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Examine product, user, repayment, and transaction data to extract insights that inform strategy and product development.
• Create, implement, and enhance machine learning models for risk assessment and underwriting, with a focus on loss prevention, ACH failure reduction, and fraud detection.
• Supervise production machine learning models to identify drift and monitor feature significance.
• Uphold data governance to ensure stability in long-term risk strategies.
• Develop and expand Looker dashboards and LookML models.
• Manage code and SQL through Git/GitHub while adhering to branching and pull-request best practices.
• Evaluate user behavior, acquisition processes, and customer segmentation.
• Design and assess A/B testing experiments.
• Analyze the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and model Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC) and Lifetime Value (LTV).
• Monitor company-wide Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Finance, Marketing, and leadership teams.
• Convert intricate insights into practical recommendations and executive summaries.
• Enhance the analytical capabilities of the team and organization.
• Report directly to the Head of Business Operations & Analytics.
• Contribute as an individual while aiding in business scaling and the potential development and leadership of a team.
• 5–7 years of experience in data, product, and risk analytics.
• Demonstrated success in developing and implementing credit and banking risk models.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL, including Snowflake and complex query writing.
• Skilled in Python machine learning libraries such as Pandas, Scipy, and XGBoost.
• Practical experience with Business Intelligence tools like Looker and Superset.
• Strong grasp of statistical concepts and hypothesis testing methodologies.
• Experienced in conducting A/B testing experiments.
• Ability to function as an individual contributor in dynamic, uncertain startup settings.
• Experience utilizing AI tools to enhance output quality and efficiency.
• A proven history of building, mentoring, or developing high-performing analytics teams is preferred.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• At least 5 years of experience in roles such as data analyst, risk analyst, business intelligence analyst, or product analyst is required.
• Experience in the fintech, financial services, banking sector, or equivalent is preferred.
• Proficient in writing complex SQL queries, including window functions, Common Table Expressions (CTEs), and aggregations.
• Experience in creating or maintaining dashboards using BI tools like Looker or Apache Superset.
