Product Owner – Personal Deposits

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Contributes to the formulation of an innovative strategy for products and services; translates strategic objectives into operational plans that prioritize initiatives based on their impact on the business and members.

• Designs, implements, and sustains a deposit product roadmap that outlines appealing features for our members, fosters adoption, and enhances the usage of Servus' services; ensures that product programs align with member market needs and reflect the company’s vision and strategy.

• Generates support for the product vision among internal teams and key external stakeholders.

• Oversees a designated product portfolio throughout all phases of the product lifecycle, ensuring its success through optimization of products and pricing, along with ongoing suggestions to enhance product profitability and competitiveness; keeps internal stakeholders informed about product status and any modifications.

• Directs the creation of an optimal member experience, tailored to specific segments, and founded on collaboration and integration across digital and direct/assisted channels, solutions, sales, and operations.

• Regularly evaluates member channel usage, including in-branch and departmental transactions and member share of wallet, to leverage data in assessing branch and departmental productivity.

• Actively assists the Product, Pricing, and Loyalty leadership team with reporting requirements, particularly in relation to ongoing business performance, identifying gaps, and supporting tactical strategies to address those gaps.

• Holds full P&L responsibility for Deposit Products, including comprehensive ownership of all revenue and cost factors related to Retail Deposit products.

• Supplies content for the Service Fee Committee.

• Collaborates with relevant teams and leaders to facilitate annual KPI planning, encompassing product volume and unit targets that drive revenue growth, member adoption, and satisfaction goals.

• Directs the development and implementation of member propositions aimed at attracting new members, strengthening member relationships, and increasing share of wallet.

• Establishes and oversees third-party vendor relationships and products, while also providing insights for formulating and optimizing relevant strategies and tactics; ensures adherence to partnership agreements and service level expectations.

• Remains informed about external market conditions and emerging trends in product management, distribution, and segmentation; assesses Servus' offerings against competitors and adjusts the product roadmap as needed.

• Ensures compliance with governance, risk, and regulatory standards.


⛳️ Requirements

• 7 years of experience in financial services, product management and development, or analytics.

• Proven track record in product management and development, customer segmentation, sales and profitability analysis, and vendor relationship management.

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.

• Proficient in computer skills, with the capability to quickly learn and adjust to new and existing job-related systems and programs.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, analytical, organizational, and multitasking skills.

• Customer-centric approach with a dedication to providing outstanding service.

• High level of attention to detail.

• Demonstrated ability to focus on objectives and metrics, ensuring products address the right challenges and that success is accurately measured.

• Capacity to build and sustain effective working relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.

• High degree of adaptability and flexibility to thrive in a dynamic and often uncertain environment.

• Strong presentation and public speaking capabilities.
