This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with Product Management, Data Science, and Marketing leadership to transform our offer campaigns from scheduled, batch-driven marketing into a continuous engine that consistently identifies and targets high-propensity users for loan and deposit products.

• Convert propensity models and audience/segmentation strategies into clear product requirements, working closely with data science to understand the signals that influence targeting decisions.

• Assist in defining the roadmap for how automated marketing capabilities can extend across various products (auto, personal loan, credit card, home equity, deposits, and more).

• Collaborate with marketing, creative, and content teams to plan and prioritize campaign experiences across channels — including digital banking widgets, email, SMS/push, direct mail, and in-app placements.

• Translate creative and content strategies (messaging, offer presentation, personalization) into detailed requirements and acceptance criteria for the engineering team.

• Establish a test-and-learn rhythm for creative and channel experiments, partnering with internal and external teams to determine what to test and how to implement it with engineering support.

• Define and instrument the conversion funnel — from targeting and offer presentation through application and funding — in collaboration with Analytics/BI.

• Utilize funnel data to pinpoint drop-off points, prioritize backlog items to address them, and assess the impact of released features against funnel and business metrics.

• Develop a consistent reporting cadence on funnel performance, test outcomes, and insights for the squad, Product Managers, and leadership.

• Collaborate with the Product Manager, internal stakeholders, and go-to-market teams to gather, document, and validate product requirements.

• Transform mid-to-high-level Product Requirements Documents (PRDs) from key stakeholders into detailed, low-level PRDs, including edge cases, dependencies, and integration considerations.

• Create comprehensive epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria from detailed PRDs, ensuring all documentation remains current as requirements evolve.

• Manage and uphold a healthy, prioritized product backlog that aligns with overall product strategy and roadmap commitments.

• Make real-time prioritization decisions in response to shifting business needs, technical discoveries, campaign performance data, or partner feedback.

• Continuously refine backlog items to ensure the squad consistently works on the highest-value, best-understood stories.

• Facilitate agile ceremonies in partnership with your Technical Program Manager — including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

• Enhance squad velocity by removing obstacles, maintaining clarity on goals, and nurturing a high-performing team culture.

• Lead communications during sprint reviews, effectively communicating what was delivered and its significance — for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Act as the primary communication link between the development squad and business stakeholders, ensuring a shared understanding of scope, status, and expectations.

• Proactively engage with market-facing teams (sales, partner success, marketing) regarding product roll-out plans, timelines, and partner communications.

• Coordinate with the Offers squad and Product Managers to ensure alignment on shared, cross-squad products.

• Collaborate with QA teams to establish test cases and acceptance criteria for all user stories, including campaign targeting logic and compliance-sensitive regulations.

• Participate in acceptance testing activities to confirm that delivered features meet specified requirements prior to release.

• Advocate for quality standards within the squad, ensuring edge cases and corner scenarios are addressed during refinement — not discovered post-launch.

• Maintain accurate, up-to-date product documentation, encompassing release notes, user guides, and functional specifications.

• Ensure documentation is accessible to both technical and non-technical audiences (including marketing and partner-facing teams) and reflects the current state of the product.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience.

• 3–5 years of experience in a product owner or product management role, with a strong emphasis on requirements refinement, story definition, and backlog management.

• Proven proficiency in agile methodologies and hands-on experience with tools like Jira and Confluence.

• Familiarity with marketing channels (email, SMS/push, direct mail, in-app/widget placements) and understanding how creative and content decisions impact campaign performance.

• Experience in building, measuring, and iterating on conversion funnels, with a comfort level in interpreting funnel and campaign performance data to guide prioritization.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of breaking down complex business and marketing requirements into actionable engineering tasks.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; adept at leading meetings and presenting to cross-functional stakeholders, including marketing and creative teams.

• Proven ability to manage competing priorities and make confident, data-driven decisions in a fast-paced environment.
