Product Owner – Data Team

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the product backlog, ensuring that items are well-defined, prioritized, and ready for implementation.

• Advocate for business and end-user requirements, making prioritization choices that enhance the value delivered in each Program Increment (PI).

• Engage in sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies.

• Evaluate and accept completed tasks based on established acceptance criteria.

• Utilize Oracle SQL to verify data outputs, evaluate the feasibility of requests, and aid in prioritization choices.

• Work in collaboration with Business Analysts and technical leads to refine requirements, clarify acceptance criteria, and address any gaps prior to development commencement.

• Manage stakeholder expectations while effectively communicating priorities and delivery updates.

⛳️ Requirements

• A current valid Reliability level Government of Canada security clearance, or a higher classification.

• Intermediate proficiency in Oracle SQL is required.

• Advanced proficiency in Product Management is necessary.

• Advanced proficiency in Product Development is essential.

• Experience in managing product backlogs, user stories, and prioritization within an Agile framework.

• Demonstrated experience collaborating closely with business stakeholders, Business Analysts, and technical teams.

• Proven ability to perform data analysis and use SQL queries to validate solutions and inform product decisions.
