Product Owner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Take full ownership of a product area from start to finish: discovery, definition, delivery, and post-launch optimization.

• Establish the product vision and roadmap that align with business objectives and user requirements.

• Craft clear user stories accompanied by acceptance criteria and maintain a prioritized backlog.

• Collaborate closely with Engineering, Design, QA, and Data teams to ensure timely delivery without sacrificing quality.

• Conduct market and competitor research to guide feature prioritization.

• Define and monitor KPIs, including leading and lagging indicators, to assess product success.

• Engage in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

• Effectively communicate product decisions, trade-offs, and progress to stakeholders.

• Mentor junior Product Owners and contribute to the knowledge-sharing culture within the product chapter.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in English.

• More than 2 years of experience in product management, product ownership, or similar roles.

• Strong analytical abilities with a background in data-driven decision-making.

• Familiarity with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).

• Capability to produce clear user stories, specifications, and technical documentation.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and structured thinking capabilities.

• Outstanding communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

• A strong sense of ownership and an execution-oriented mindset.

• Experience in fintech, payments, or financial services is preferred.

• Experience with APIs, payment orchestration, or Payment Service Providers (PSPs) is preferred.

• Understanding of REST APIs, webhooks, and integration patterns is preferred.

• Background in top-tier consulting firms or rapidly scaling tech companies is preferred.

• Strong business acumen with a data-driven approach is preferred.
