Product Owner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Lead discovery sessions, workshops, and meetings with stakeholders to grasp business objectives, challenges, processes, and priorities.

• Convert customer requirements into well-defined epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and other ready-to-deliver artifacts.

• Oversee and enhance the backlog, ensuring that priorities align with customer value, delivery viability, and commercial results.

• Constructively challenge requirements by asking pertinent questions to uncover root causes, gaps, risks, and better alternatives.

• Collaborate with customers, delivery teams, architects, and developers to develop practical, high-value solutions rather than merely documenting requests.

• Facilitate discussions that foster clarity, alignment, and progress, especially in situations with conflicting opinions or uncertainty.

• Effectively manage multiple projects, sectors, or problem areas, quickly adapting to new business domains and delivery contexts.

• Assist in business case development, solution definition, estimation, and decision-making throughout the delivery lifecycle.

• Work closely with delivery teams during implementation to clarify requirements, resolve decision roadblocks, and keep the focus on intended outcomes.

• Build strong customer relationships and identify opportunities to enhance outcomes, add value, and strengthen overall engagement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in a Product Owner role within software delivery, consulting, or professional services.

• Demonstrated ability to thrive in ambiguous environments and quickly familiarize oneself with new fields.

• Exceptional skills in workshop facilitation, stakeholder management, and client-facing communication.

• Confidence to constructively challenge, influence decisions, and manage difficult conversations with professionalism.

• Experience in shaping solutions with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, balancing business needs with practical delivery.

• Strong understanding of Agile delivery, backlog management, prioritization, and iterative solution development.

• Ability to analyze processes, identify areas for improvement, and translate insights into actions.

• Commercial awareness and a pragmatic approach focused on delivering value rather than merely creating documentation.

• Strong writing skills, capable of producing clear, concise, and well-structured documentation as required.

• A self-motivated approach, sound judgment, and the presence to lead discussions with confidence.
