Product Owner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Take charge of managing and prioritizing the product backlog independently, ensuring the team focuses on the most impactful tasks.

• Create well-structured epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria; utilize AI tools (such as Claude, ChatPRD, Rovo) to efficiently produce and refine backlog artifacts at scale.

• Lead the planning of product release schedules and set clear expectations for the delivery of new functionalities.

• Verify that completed stories adhere to Neumo’s Definition of Done.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, sales, and customer support, to facilitate successful product launches.

• Interact with customers and stakeholders to gather and validate requirements and feedback.

• Work closely with senior leadership to guide product strategy and provide updates on product development and milestones.

• Analyze market trends and the competitive landscape to guide product decisions and strategies.

• Ensure alignment of the product with user needs, business objectives, and technical capabilities.

• Facilitate agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

• Monitor and report on product performance, quality, and usage metrics.

• Carry out additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.

• Over 2 years of experience working within Agile methodology, with a strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle phases; experience in a Product Owner or Business Analyst role is preferred.

• Experience in the public sector or with public sector software is desired; familiarity with tax administration, short-term rental, or revenue management solutions is a plus.

• Proficiency in tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, and Figma; experience with AI productivity tools (e.g., Claude, ChatPRD, Copilot) to expedite story creation and analysis.

• Knowledge and experience with technical solutions and components (APIs, Middleware, Services, SQL).
