Product Ops Lead

Posted Jul 18

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the operational framework for the entire product organization, including planning schedules, roadmap governance, OKR cycles, and the rituals that keep a distributed, senior team aligned without overwhelming them with processes.

• Establish how Primer evaluates product performance across the portfolio — create the instrumentation, dashboards, and feedback loops that provide leadership with insights on what is being launched, what is delayed, and the implications for the business.

• Determine the strategy and direction for product tools: what the team utilizes, how it integrates, and how it adapts as the company transitions from Series C to a larger organization.

• Oversee go-to-market readiness across the product function — collaborating with Product, Engineering, Commercial, and Marketing to ensure launches are well-prepared and that the right individuals are informed.

• Identify and address systemic issues within the product organization, focusing on durable structural changes that prevent the same problems from recurring rather than just implementing one-off solutions.

• Develop the knowledge infrastructure for the product function: establishing documentation standards, onboarding processes, decision records, and shared frameworks that ensure institutional knowledge persists even as personnel changes occur and scales with new hires.

• Serve as a strategic partner to Theo, managing operational details and cross-functional coordination that allows him to concentrate on product direction.

⛳️ Requirements

• Significant experience in a senior Product Operations, Chief of Staff, or similar role within a B2B technology company — you have previously built or substantially restructured a product operating model.

• Strong analytical skills: you can directly work with data, create dashboards, and translate numbers into clear narratives without relying on a data team.

• Proven track record of developing systems and processes that are genuinely adopted and maintained over time — you understand the distinction between documentation and infrastructure.

• Comfortable operating across Product, Engineering, and GTM without defined boundaries — you influence through the quality of your ideas and the practicality of what you create.

• Ability to think strategically over multiple quarters: you can maintain a broad vision of how the product function should operate in eighteen months while executing current tasks.

• Highly self-sufficient in ambiguous situations — you do not require a fully defined problem to begin making progress.

• Nice to have: experience in payments, fintech, or developer-facing infrastructure products.

🏝️ Benefits

• Competitive share options.

• Unlimited holiday, with a minimum of 25 days to be taken.

• Access to co-working spaces.

• Workations & Company Retreats.

• The best equipment for your role.

• £500 towards your home office setup.

• Generous learning budget.

• Private Medical Insurance.

• A wide range of additional perks and benefits (depending on location).
