This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Contribute to the evolution of the SDK product vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with Alkami’s extensibility objectives and overall product strategy.
• Manage and prioritize the SDK backlog, converting business and technical requirements into well-defined user stories, acceptance criteria, and engineering-ready specifications.
• Recognize customization and extensibility use cases, and establish the necessary tools, environments, workflows, and documentation to streamline development, testing, and deployment for customers and partners.
• Enhance the end-to-end developer experience for diverse personas, ranging from business analysts utilizing declarative tools to engineers creating advanced custom components.
• Collaborate with API product leaders, admin tooling teams, and internal feature teams to ensure extensibility is delivered as a unified platform capability and that APIs are easily consumable in SDK-based solutions.
• Drive initiatives that enhance self-service onboarding, troubleshooting, testing, deployment, and documentation, minimizing reliance on Alkami resources and boosting customer confidence in utilizing the platform.
• Act as the dedicated PM for Alkami’s SDK engineering team, ensuring efficient sprint execution, backlog management, and resolution of blockers across different geographies and time zones.
• Work alongside sales, marketing, customer support, implementation, and partner-facing teams to facilitate launch readiness, adoption, and effective communication of extensibility features.
• Assist in defining and monitoring KPIs for SDK success, such as metrics related to onboarding friction, self-service achievements, support reduction, adoption rates, and delivery efficiency.
• Keep abreast of trends in developer platforms, fintech extensibility patterns, low-code tooling, AI-assisted development, and competitive offerings to ensure Alkami remains an innovation driver for its customers and partners.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline; equivalent practical experience will be considered.
• Over 5 years of product management experience, ideally in fintech, SaaS, digital banking, developer platforms, APIs, SDKs, or technical platform products.
• Demonstrated experience in managing software development lifecycles within an Agile framework.
• Strong product management capabilities in requirements definition, backlog management, prioritization, and roadmap execution.
• Ability to transform complex technical and business requirements into clear product specifications for engineering and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Solid understanding of developer experience, platform tooling, and how customers and partners interact with APIs, SDKs, and configurable systems.
• Familiarity with APIs, SDKs, local and hosted development environments, CI/CD concepts, testing workflows, documentation strategies, and platform support models.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the capability to collaborate effectively across engineering, UX, support, go-to-market, and leadership teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a customer-centric, data-informed approach.
• Proficient in tools such as Jira, Confluence, various AI models, and standard collaboration tools.
• Strong asynchronous communication and written specification discipline, with experience leading or collaborating with engineering teams across multiple time zones.
• Preferred experience in digital banking, financial services, or regulated SaaS platforms.
• Familiarity with low-code/no-code product experiences and AI-assisted development workflows as they pertain to developer tooling and execution.
• Working knowledge of authentication and integration patterns such as SSO, OAuth, OIDC, or related platform security concepts.
