This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of the roadmap for robotics data collection, steering direction and driving execution across engineering, design, operations, quality, and solutions.
• Evaluate the demand for new capture modalities, then establish the collection model, hardware, and tools necessary.
• Collaborate with engineering and design on the operator experience, including onboarding, task guidance, in-session feedback, error states, and review workflows. Operators will be working one-handed, in motion, while wearing a headset or racing against a clock.
• Create prototypes and draft specifications, including requirements and user stories that withstand engineering scrutiny.
• Convert customer model requirements into collection designs, while adapting research into quality standards for egocentric data, such as pose accuracy, sync tolerance, occlusion handling, annotation schema, and acceptance criteria.
• Engage with collectors, session leads, and reviewers. When data falls short during training, trace the issue back to the capture design or the tools that generated it.
• Act as the product representative to hyperscaler and robotics foundation model teams, and relay their constraints back into the roadmap.
• Optimize metrics such as yield per session, rejection rate, cost per usable hour, capture-to-delivery time, and operator retention.
• Advocate for pilots as the standard method to test changes, utilizing small cohorts, clear hypotheses, and fixed timeframes. Scale successful initiatives and discontinue ineffective ones.
• Minimum of 4 years in product management, with at least 2 years in robotics, physical AI, AR/VR, autonomous systems, or large-scale data collection.
• Possess a technical degree or equivalent experience; previous roles as a software engineer or researcher are advantageous.
• Have the technical depth to engage in substantive discussions with a research team.
• Direct experience in one or more of the following areas: egocentric or wearable data capture, teleoperation systems, robot data pipelines, multi-sensor collection rigs, or similar setups.
• Proven experience in defining product vision and roadmaps within ambiguous and fast-paced environments.
• A hands-on robotics background, with experience as a Robotics or ML engineer on embodied models, teleoperation engineer, or similar roles.
• Familiarity with imitation learning, VLA models, or manipulation policy training, along with the data requirements for these methods.
• Experience managing distributed human operations, including crowd or contractor workforces.
• You have successfully shipped a physical product and have a solid understanding of calibration, sensor synchronization, coordinate frames, and potential failure points.
• Offers Bonus
• Annual Performance Bonus of up to 7%
