This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.
• Take charge of developing and implementing the complete product strategy and roadmap for ThriveCart’s payments ecosystem (including checkout, payment gateways, transaction routing, fraud management, refunds, treasury, and reconciliation).
• Identify, prioritize, and deliver features that enhance conversion rates, minimize friction, and facilitate global scalability.
• Collaborate with engineering and design teams to ensure high-quality user experiences and robust backend systems.
• Integrate and maintain third-party payment providers (such as Stripe, PayPal, Authorize.net) while exploring new options (including local payment methods, wallets, and bank debits).
• Ensure compliance of all payment solutions with regulatory standards (PCI, PSD2, SCA, etc.).
• Track the performance, adoption, and reliability of payment systems using data analytics and user feedback.
• Work with customer success and support teams to identify and address user pain points related to payments.
• Stay updated on global payment trends, technologies, and fintech regulations, and propose ideas that align with ThriveCart’s growth objectives.
• Demonstrated experience in building and scaling payment systems within a SaaS, fintech, or eCommerce context.
• Profound understanding of payment infrastructure, including gateway integrations, card networks, fraud prevention, settlements, and chargeback processes.
• Strong technical fluency—able to work closely with engineers and effectively interpret API documentation.
• Exceptional communication, prioritization, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Data-driven mindset—you know what metrics to track, how to measure them, and how to leverage insights for rapid iteration.
• 3–5+ years of experience as a Product Manager, ideally with direct responsibility for payment products or platforms.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (such as Computer Science, Business, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline) is preferred but not mandatory.
• Equivalent practical experience in product management, payments, or fintech may be accepted in lieu of formal education.
• Certifications in product management (e.g., Pragmatic, AIPMM, or CSPO) or fintech/payments (e.g., ETA CPP) are advantageous but not required.
• Experience working in agile, cross-functional teams focused on delivering customer-centric solutions.
• Familiarity with global payment methods, subscriptions, recurring billing, or tax compliance tools.
• Experience with payments orchestration systems and/or treasury systems is seen as a plus.
• Background in utilizing AI Agents and building and implementing AI tools and Agents.
