This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.
• Take ownership of and implement the comprehensive product strategy and roadmap for ThriveCart’s payments ecosystem, which encompasses checkout, payment gateways, transaction routing, fraud management, refunds, treasury functions, and reconciliation.
• Identify, prioritize, and deliver features that enhance conversion rates, minimize friction, and facilitate global scalability.
• Collaborate with engineering and design teams to provide exceptional user experiences and robust backend systems.
• Integrate and manage third-party payment providers, including Stripe, PayPal, and Authorize.net.
• Investigate local payment methods, digital wallets, and bank debit options.
• Ensure that payment solutions comply with regulatory standards, including PCI, PSD2, and SCA.
• Track the performance, adoption, and reliability of payment systems through data analysis and user feedback.
• Work together with customer success and support teams to identify and address payment-related user challenges.
• Keep updated on global payment trends, technologies, and fintech regulations, aligning insights with ThriveCart’s growth strategy.
• Demonstrated success in building and scaling payment systems in a SaaS, fintech, or eCommerce setting.
• In-depth knowledge of payment infrastructure, including gateway integrations, card networks, fraud prevention, settlements, and chargeback processes.
• Strong technical proficiency and the capability to interpret API documentation.
• Exceptional communication, prioritization, and stakeholder management abilities.
• A strong data-driven approach and the capacity to measure performance and leverage insights for rapid iteration.
• 3–5+ years of experience in a Product Manager role, preferably with direct responsibility for payment products or platforms.
• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is preferred but not essential.
• Equivalent practical experience in product management, payments, or fintech can substitute for formal education.
• Experience working within agile, cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with global payment methods, subscriptions, recurring billing, or tax compliance tools.
• Experience with payments orchestration systems and/or treasury systems is advantageous.
• Experience in utilizing, implementing, and developing AI tools and agents.
• Certifications in product management or fintech/payments are a plus but not required.
