This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.
• Oversee aspects of the current and forthcoming Central American product portfolio and its lifecycle, from strategic planning to tactical execution, including the creation, maintenance, and updating of product roadmaps.
• Primary focus on PV Modules.
• General knowledge of Solar Systems.
• Educate and train customers and sales teams on product details and specifications, advantages, applications, and competitive benchmarks.
• Conduct research, analyze, and draft market requirements for both existing and new products by engaging with customers and sales teams, reviewing various information sources, and translating these requirements into product proposals and roadmaps.
• Present proposals to internal stakeholders to secure approval.
• Monitor codes and certifications as they evolve; assess their implications for the market and specific products; provide recommendations to management on how to capitalize on these developments for CSI’s advantage.
• Collaborate with industry stakeholders to enhance the compatibility and acceptance of Canadian Solar products.
• Coordinate, review, and approve the use of Canadian Solar products in project designs.
• Prepare content and materials for customer engagements with sales managers to facilitate product presentations, training sessions, webinars, and customer events.
• Provide, coordinate, and validate content for technical and marketing collateral, including datasheets, technical brochures, reports, and white papers.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to launch and promote new products and their features, while evaluating the introduction and sales performance of both existing and new products.
• Willingness to travel up to 35% of the time, including international travel.
• Perform additional related tasks as assigned by management.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business is required; a graduate degree is highly preferred.
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English.
• A minimum of 5+ years of experience in product management, specifically in the energy sector or within the PV industry – Required.
• Experience with PV Modules, Power Electronics, or Energy Storage is essential – Required.
• Additional experience in PV project or PV system design is preferred.
• Capability to perform project simulations as needed in PVSyst – Required.
• Experience collaborating with sales and business development teams and B2B sales channels, as well as direct sales experience to commercial and industrial businesses – Plus.
• Strong technical aptitude and ability to rapidly learn detailed information about the existing product portfolio, as well as to effectively communicate and respond to technical and product-related inquiries.
• Experience with financial product calculations, product cost analysis, and product sales price definitions and recommendations.
• Outstanding social and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with others locally and across multiple time zones and diverse cultures.
• Excellent written, communication, and presentation skills (both in-person and online via webinar tools).
• Ability to manage competing deliverables, balance multiple projects, and prioritize a wide range of initiatives and objectives concurrently.
• An exceptional time manager, capable of juggling multiple projects and prioritizing diverse issues, initiatives, and objectives simultaneously.
• A confident self-starter, team-oriented, high-energy individual with ethics, integrity, and finesse.
• Willingness and ability to travel (up to 35%, including internationally).
