This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Take ownership of the complete product roadmap for Bankjoy's financial empowerment offering aimed at children and families, covering everything from discovery and requirements to launch and ongoing iteration.
• Perform market research to identify trends, competitive landscapes, and user needs within the kids fintech and financial education sectors.
• Create user stories, personas, and journey maps tailored for children, their parents, or guardians.
• Collaborate with engineering, design, and QA teams to outline product requirements and ensure alignment of technical solutions with both business and user objectives.
• Engage with credit union partners to grasp member needs and generate value for both financial institutions and families.
• Direct the ideation, development, and launch of features that foster financial engagement, savings behaviors, goal-setting, and financial literacy.
• Simplify complex concepts into clear, actionable plans for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Manage the product backlog and coordinate with engineering leadership to ensure timely execution of initiatives.
• Define, monitor, and assess product performance metrics along with user engagement data.
• Confirm that product initiatives adhere to COPPA, CFPB guidelines, and similar regulations concerning financial products for minors.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Education, or a related field.
• At least 7 years of product management experience in fintech, digital banking, financial wellness, or financial education; candidates lacking this experience will not be considered.
• A strong passion for financial empowerment and education.
• Demonstrated ability to manage a product through its entire lifecycle, from initial launch to growth and iterations.
• Comprehensive understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements for financial products, especially those aimed at minors.
• Experience in conducting thorough market research and transforming insights into successful product features.
• Capability to develop detailed user stories and manage complex product portfolios with multiple stakeholders.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities.
• Agile/Scrum certification or experience in an Agile environment is advantageous.
• Preferably, experience in developing products for younger audiences, families, or underserved communities.
• Strongly preferred experience with financial institutions, credit unions, or community banks.
