This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +6 more states.
β’ Take ownership of the product roadmap for the REAG Benchmarking Platform, following a three-phase delivery strategy (Foundation β KREV Integration & Internal Launch β GA & Expansion) that spans approximately 10 months from the kickoff.
β’ Convert benchmarking methodologies into product specifications β including metric definitions, segmentation logic, anonymization standards, and publication frequency β collaborating with REAG subject matter experts for validation.
β’ Facilitate coordination among various functions: REAG practitioners, the engineering team based in India (backend, UI, data), Legal, and Business Development.
β’ Oversee the integration of data sources across REAG's proprietary valuation systems and third-party index data, ensuring normalization, deduplication, and historical coverage.
β’ Establish the KREV integration experience β encompassing both the dedicated Benchmarking module and the inline portfolio overlay on existing views.
β’ Manage the quarterly production cycle, which includes data freeze dates, QA gates, publication schedules, and commitments for on-time delivery to clients.
β’ Lead the pilot and GA launch with selected GP clients, gather feedback, and extend the offering to the entire KREV client base.
β’ Monitor and report on progress related to coverage, adoption, and reliability targets.
β’ Mitigate risks associated with data quality, licensing, segment depth, and SME availability, ensuring documentation of mitigations.
β’ A minimum of 5 years of experience in product management, with at least 2 years focusing on data products, analytics platforms, or benchmarking tools.
β’ Proficient understanding of commercial real estate valuation concepts β including cap rates, discount rates, NOI, DCF methodology, and the use of comparable data by appraisers.
β’ Knowledge of the institutional real estate fund manager (GP/LP) landscape.
β’ Experience delivering products that rely on structured data ingestion, normalization, and deduplication across various source systems.
β’ Proven track record in managing distributed engineering teams (this role involves coordinating a four-person team based in India) and working across different time zones.
β’ Exceptional written communication skills β capable of creating PRDs, methodology documentation, and client-facing materials that withstand scrutiny from legal, compliance, and sophisticated GP clients.
β’ Ability to operate in regulated and confidential data environments, including adherence to engagement-letter data use restrictions and anonymization protocols.
