Product Manager II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +6 more states.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the product roadmap for the REAG Benchmarking Platform, following a three-phase delivery strategy (Foundation → KREV Integration & Internal Launch → GA & Expansion) that spans approximately 10 months from the kickoff.

• Convert benchmarking methodologies into product specifications — including metric definitions, segmentation logic, anonymization standards, and publication frequency — collaborating with REAG subject matter experts for validation.

• Facilitate coordination among various functions: REAG practitioners, the engineering team based in India (backend, UI, data), Legal, and Business Development.

• Oversee the integration of data sources across REAG's proprietary valuation systems and third-party index data, ensuring normalization, deduplication, and historical coverage.

• Establish the KREV integration experience — encompassing both the dedicated Benchmarking module and the inline portfolio overlay on existing views.

• Manage the quarterly production cycle, which includes data freeze dates, QA gates, publication schedules, and commitments for on-time delivery to clients.

• Lead the pilot and GA launch with selected GP clients, gather feedback, and extend the offering to the entire KREV client base.

• Monitor and report on progress related to coverage, adoption, and reliability targets.

• Mitigate risks associated with data quality, licensing, segment depth, and SME availability, ensuring documentation of mitigations.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in product management, with at least 2 years focusing on data products, analytics platforms, or benchmarking tools.

• Proficient understanding of commercial real estate valuation concepts — including cap rates, discount rates, NOI, DCF methodology, and the use of comparable data by appraisers.

• Knowledge of the institutional real estate fund manager (GP/LP) landscape.

• Experience delivering products that rely on structured data ingestion, normalization, and deduplication across various source systems.

• Proven track record in managing distributed engineering teams (this role involves coordinating a four-person team based in India) and working across different time zones.

• Exceptional written communication skills — capable of creating PRDs, methodology documentation, and client-facing materials that withstand scrutiny from legal, compliance, and sophisticated GP clients.

• Ability to operate in regulated and confidential data environments, including adherence to engagement-letter data use restrictions and anonymization protocols.
