This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as the key expert on Controlled Substance products, data assets, reporting functionalities, customer applications, and the regulatory environment.

• Utilize SQL, Tableau, and various analytical tools to uncover customer needs, explore data inquiries, confirm assumptions, and facilitate product decisions.

• Take charge of the discovery, prioritization, definition, and execution of Controlled Substances reporting and data product initiatives, focusing on customer adoption.

• Contribute to the strategy formulation for Controlled Substances data products, encompassing reporting, analytics, governance, metadata, and AI-driven capabilities.

• Collaborate with customer-facing teams to set expectations, clarify project scope, communicate trade-offs, and assess requests.

• Work alongside cross-functional teams to enhance data governance, minimize customer friction, and propose scalable solutions.

• Assist in the development of AI-driven analytics capabilities by outlining use cases, data needs, governance requirements, and success metrics.

• Convert customer feedback, market demands, business needs, and data insights into product specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, and success indicators.

• Facilitate user acceptance testing to ensure that delivered solutions align with expectations.

• Assess customer, regulatory, technical, support, and revenue priorities to suggest roadmap trade-offs.

• Develop and maintain product documentation, including user manuals, workflows, and data definitions.

• Lead discussions with customers, gather requirements, and manage complex product initiatives from inception to delivery.

• Recognize data quality concerns, customer challenges, and product opportunities while driving solutions forward.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.

• Over 5 years of experience in product management, product analytics, data analysis, or a similar field, with a proven record of increased responsibility and ownership.

• Advanced SQL skills, including the ability to independently query and analyze large, intricate datasets.

• Proficient in Tableau, with experience in dashboard development, data visualization, and analytical storytelling.

• Experience in translating business requirements and data insights into product suggestions, specifications, and technical solutions.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Background in a highly regulated sector such as healthcare, government, insurance, or financial services.

• Familiarity with healthcare, pharmacy, public health, claims, or controlled substance data.

• Experience with data governance frameworks, metadata management, data quality initiatives, reporting standards, or enterprise analytics projects.

• Knowledge of Agile product development practices as well as Jira and Confluence.

• Experience in supporting product discovery, roadmap planning, product delivery, or customer-facing product initiatives.

• Understanding of healthcare interoperability standards, healthcare regulations, or state government technology initiatives.

• Proficiency in Python or other analytical tools.

• Ability to quickly master a complex, highly regulated domain and establish subject matter expertise.

• Active and demonstrable use of AI-supported tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, or similar.

• Capacity to thrive in fast-paced, high-growth, rapidly changing environments.

• Ability to work efficiently in a remote-first setting.

• Willingness to travel occasionally for work.
