This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.
• Define and spearhead the roadmap for Identity at Airbnb—encompassing essential identity verification technologies and processes, the introduction of new identity-related features, and enhancing the value of a verified identity beyond the Airbnb ecosystem.
• Make prioritization decisions that balance various competing goals: trust, guest experience, booking success, and overall marketplace health.
• Collaborate with design, engineering, and policy teams to effectively execute the roadmap you establish.
• Align cross-functional partners, including Account, Trust & Safety, Guest Experience, Host Experience, and Customer Support, on mutual objectives and roadmap sequencing.
• Identify and assess external partnership opportunities that could broaden the reach and enhance the value of our identity ecosystem.
• Design and oversee A/B testing with meticulous metric design and long-term impact measurement on bookings.
• Translate intricate technical trade-offs into clear decisions for engineering teams and succinct narratives for leadership.
• Cultivate an environment where product managers, engineers, designers, and other cross-functional team members work together toward shared goals and collaborate on building the future.
• Stay attuned to guests and hosts: synthesize user research, marketplace data, and competitive insights to enhance your intuition and refine strategy.
• Over 8 years of product management experience, including at least 3 years focused on identity and trust-related matters.
• Proven track record of owning strategy and roadmap for technically intricate systems—not merely managing features but also setting direction and making challenging prioritization decisions.
• Familiarity with identity standards being developed globally and the capability to chart an ambitious long-term path through this dynamic landscape.
• Ability to earn the respect of engineers and subject matter experts by engaging at a level that fosters credibility.
• Proficiency in gathering and utilizing data to conduct business analysis and support product strategy decisions.
• Clear and structured communicator who can simplify complex technical trade-offs for executives and translate strategy into actionable guidance for design and engineering.
• Comfortable working in uncertain environments with a preference for innovative solutions over incremental ones.
• Experience in evaluating external partnerships and an understanding of how these collaborations can propel strategy forward.
• Proven expertise in pitching complex ideas to executive teams.
• Demonstrated experience in both inbound (feature definition) and outbound (communication and marketing) facets of product management.
