• Take charge of the problem definition process by synthesizing field signals, program objectives, and Pratham’s pedagogical principles into well-defined product opportunities.
• Create and sustain the product roadmap, making strategic prioritization choices that balance educational impact, technical feasibility, and organizational timelines.
• Maintain the product vision consistently in a multi-funder landscape, knowing when to incorporate external feedback and when to safeguard the core integrity of the product.
• Draft problem statements and solution briefs for AI, analytics, and software teams—acting as the bridge across functions that may not always communicate effectively.
• Collaborate with Pratham’s field implementation, technology, educational program teams, and funding stakeholders, translating requirements into actionable decisions for the team.
• Advocate for responsible AI practices—including data privacy and age-appropriate design—in all products developed for children.
• Work closely with analytics, measurement, and development teams from concept through launch and iteration.
• Define and monitor products using quantitative methods, converting qualitative insights into numerical data to enhance feedback assessment.
• Possess a technical skill set: adept at quickly learning new tools and utilizing existing technology to independently create prototypes, dashboards, and feedback instruments—this includes designing and conducting A/B testing experiments without relying on engineering support.
• 5–8 years of professional experience, including a minimum of 3 years in a product management position.
• Proven track record of taking technical products from conception to launch, covering the product vision, go-to-market strategy, and design discussions.
• Ability to independently use current tools to prototype, construct dashboards, and design feedback experiments.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to work across 2-3 time zones in a single day with teams located in India, the US, Africa, and Latin America.
• Domestic and international travel to project implementation sites—including rural India, Sub-Saharan Africa, and Latin America—is a requirement for this position. Candidates should anticipate periodic travel throughout the year.
• Impact at Scale: Your contributions will directly support the educational journeys of millions of children. With programs in 31 countries, you will assist in creating Digital Public Goods that bridge the gap for millions of children across the Global South facing challenges with foundational literacy.
• Innovation at the intersection of Education and Technology: Take the lead in transforming learning and educational processes through technology. You will play a role in designing and developing cutting-edge learning tools and AI-driven initiatives, ensuring that EdTech is a scalable solution for global equity rather than just a buzzword.
• A Culture of Growth and Evidence: At Pratham, we prioritize rigorous testing and continuous learning. You will have the freedom to experiment with the latest state-of-the-art models, backed by a 5-year strategic roadmap and funding from partners such as the Gates Foundation and Anthropic.
• High-Calibre, Mission-Driven Team: Collaborate with a global team of specialists from esteemed institutions like MIT, Harvard, and INSEAD. Our alumni have advanced to lead successful startups and international policy changes, all while remaining committed to the mission of "Every Child in School and Learning Well."
• Inclusive and Collaborative Environment: Become part of a diverse team that spans Asia, Africa, and Latin America. We value innovative ideas and local knowledge, ensuring that the technology we develop is deeply entrenched in the realities of the communities we serve.
