This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the **complete lifecycle of safety devices**, from initial onboarding to end-of-life management.
• Align **device roadmaps** with the overarching PSD product strategy.
• Manage firmware updates, release planning, and enhancements to device health.
• Strategize and advance vendor and platform integrations as necessary.
• Collaborate with engineering teams and vendors to guarantee **device reliability, performance, and scalability**.
• Establish **life of device processes**, including renewals, replacements, and trade-in/out procedures.
• Assist in the identification, assessment, and onboarding of **new device partners** in line with the PSD roadmap.
• Evaluate trade-offs regarding cost versus performance, battery life versus capability, and connectivity and telemetry options (cellular, BLE, Wi-Fi, satellite).
• Lead the assessment and onboarding of hardware vendors, focusing on security posture, certification/compliance readiness, scalability, and operational interoperability with Everbridge platforms.
• Specify requirements for **future device capabilities and form factors** based on the overall PSD roadmap.
• Take ownership of the roadmap for vendor integrations.
• Collaborate with internal product teams to influence and align on roadmap deliverables.
• Utilize device and use case functionality to create cohesive, impactful features for the platform.
• Create product requirements documents.
• Deliver insights and align with product team(s) as the SME to enhance understanding of use case and user problem statements.
• Assess solution design, prioritization, and delivery schedules to fulfill overall business needs.
• Coordinate release readiness activities, including demos, training sessions, and documentation.
• Facilitate the integration of new devices and partners into the **Everbridge 360 platform**.
• Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams on APIs, device telemetry ingestion, alert workflows, and device/platform or other external statuses (e.g., battery state, signal, etc.).
• Ensure smooth interoperability between hardware and EB360.
• Act as the primary product liaison for **device vendors**, managing relationships with hardware providers, their firmware teams, and ecosystem partners.
• Oversee delivery timelines, technical alignment, issue resolution, and roadmap with response centers to enhance workflow features.
• 4-6 years of experience in product management, hardware, IoT, or similar technical roles.
• Strong grasp of connected devices and IoT ecosystems.
• Familiarity with System-on-Chip (SoC) architectures and chipsets (e.g., Qualcomm or equivalent).
• Basic knowledge of network technologies, including LTE / LTE-M / NB-IoT, Bluetooth (BLE), Wi-Fi, with satellite knowledge as a bonus.
• Ability to assess technical trade-offs regarding hardware, connectivity, and cost.
• Experience collaborating with external vendors or partners.
• Comfortable influencing cross-team roadmaps through partnership.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• **Preferred Background**
• Experience at companies such as semiconductor vendors, IoT platforms, device manufacturers, or other connected hardware ecosystems.
• Exposure to firmware development cycles or embedded systems.
