• Take ownership of the complete card transaction lifecycle, which includes authorization processes, settlement handling, 3DS authentication, and exception management (such as decline codes, MCC blocks, and velocity rules).
• Drive the product strategy for transaction monitoring by developing systems that function across various schemes and regions as Reap grows internationally.
• Manage dispute resolution and chargeback processes, encompassing intake, VROL/Mastercard API integration, response submissions, and tracking of outcomes.
• Oversee transaction health across card programs, addressing and resolving operational issues that impact authorization rates, settlement failures, and card scheme exceptions.
• Ensure continuous adherence to Visa and Mastercard scheme regulations; oversee program-level compliance reporting and address scheme audit requests.
• Handle local regulatory compliance responsibilities in relevant jurisdictions (such as Hong Kong and others as the business scales).
• Collaborate with the platform product team to integrate and enhance KYB/KYC processes for new markets, ensuring proper implementation of our compliance policies.
• Enforce and maintain country-specific restrictions related to card issuance and transaction acceptance.
• Actively identify risks and compliance gaps, developing systems that establish a robust and scalable framework.
• Evaluate, onboard, and manage risk management vendors; be comfortable working directly with vendor APIs and integration flows to facilitate implementation alongside engineering.
• A minimum of 5 years of product management experience in card transaction processing, fraud/risk products, or compliance, with direct exposure to card scheme rules (Visa and/or Mastercard).
• A strong grasp of the card transaction lifecycle, including authorization, clearing, settlement, and dispute/chargeback processes.
• Experience collaborating with payment processors; familiarity with the interactions between issuers, acquirers, networks, and processors.
• Proven experience managing KYB/KYC review processes and AML monitoring frameworks.
• A structured, systems-thinking approach, enabling you to see how authorization, fraud, AML, and KYC function as an integrated system rather than as four distinct issues.
• Exceptional written communication skills, with the ability to clearly document SLAs, internal policies, and responses to scheme compliance.
• Proficient in using card scheme portals and APIs (such as Visa Online, VROL, Mastercard Connect, or their equivalents).
• Experience with SQL for querying and analyzing transaction data.
• Capability to read and interpret API responses, webhooks, and log data for transaction troubleshooting (coding skills are not required, but technical literacy is essential).
• Comfortable utilizing AI tools and consistently leveraging them to enhance personal and team productivity.
• Insurance coverage available after probation.
• Reap Card stipend provided.
• Access to AI tools in the workplace.
• Flexible remote work options within a global, collaborative team.
• A culture that fosters innovation, inclusion, and ongoing learning.
