• Virtualitics develops AI-native readiness intelligence for the defense sector of the US and allied nations. Our IRO application layer and Virtualitics AI Platform (VAIP) revolutionize how defense entities utilize maintenance, logistics, and global force management data. Our team is dedicated to enhancing agentic workflows, creating composable AI agents, and developing generative interfaces to evolve static dashboards into dynamic, conversational intelligence.

• The Role

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional colleagues to oversee a specific product area, leading discovery and defining success metrics while ensuring the operational efficiency of the product development team on a daily basis. You will partner with the engineering and AI teams to comprehend architectural trade-offs, outline upcoming tasks, and rigorously assess trade-offs in real time. The product caters to two groups: DoD operators and delivery teams (data scientists, engineers, partner integrators) who configure and maintain deployments of Virtualitics’ offerings.

• Responsibilities

• Take ownership of a specific product area: requirements, backlog management, prioritization, scope decisions, releases, and outcomes.

• Collaborate on technical decisions with engineering: architecture, feasibility, and trade-offs. Question estimates that seem inaccurate.

• Connect users with engineers: translate operational readiness challenges into product requirements through direct user research. You will engage directly with real users.

• Contribute to the evolution of the platform: engage in R&D initiatives across data ontology management, agent orchestration (MCP/A2A), and generative interfaces.

• Support delivery operations: ensure the product minimizes manual efforts across various contract types and deployment models.

• Communicate effectively: conduct demos, produce PRDs, and ensure cross-functional alignment. You will serve as the glue that binds teams together.

⛳️ Requirements

• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a US Security Clearance (requires US Citizenship)

• CS degree (or an equivalent technical degree)

• 2+ years of experience in product management or software engineering with a track record of shipping software in agile settings

• Proficient in reading code, reviewing architecture, and actively participating in technical discussions

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

• Preferred:

• Experience with AI/ML products, defense/government technology, or classified environments (SIPR/NIPR)

• Background in startups, particularly in navigating scalability and automation phases

• Experience in platform product development: working with technical interfaces (APIs, SDKs) alongside conventional web applications

• 1-2 years of software engineering experience
