This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design and deliver products tailored for developers and AI agents
• Collaborate across multiple engineering teams to establish priorities and manage customer and product feedback
• Specify product requirements and guide products through experimental, beta, and general availability phases
• Empower Marketing and Go-To-Market teams for successful product launches
• Engage directly with customers, engineering leaders, and developers to gather insights and translate them into product decisions
• Familiarize yourself with Sourcegraph products, customers, technical architecture, go-to-market strategy, and product vision
• Cultivate relationships with engineering leaders and supporting teams
• Participate in customer discussions to understand workflows, challenges, and priorities
• Organize customer insights, product concepts, and experiments
• Create processes for collecting, organizing, and prioritizing feedback
• Convert customer challenges into product requirements, specifications, and success criteria
• Make prioritization choices among customer requests, product investments, and technical initiatives
• Assist in customer discovery, iterative processes, launch planning, and performance measurement for experimental and beta features
• Take ownership of product prioritization and planning across engineering teams
• Guide products from experimentation through beta and general availability stages
• Develop systems for product discovery, feedback management, specification, launch, pricing and packaging, and iteration
• Contribute to defining product strategy for developers and AI agents impacting complex codebases
• Enhance evidence-based product decision-making
• Serve as a representative for Product and Engineering throughout the company, including in sales enablement and product marketing
• Over 5 years of experience in product management, particularly within early-stage companies, startups, or similarly dynamic organizations
• Prior professional software engineering experience or significant hands-on coding expertise
• Proven experience in building technical products for developers, engineering teams, or highly technical users
• History of direct customer engagement throughout discovery, development, beta testing, and launch processes
• Experience in translating customer challenges and technical concepts into product requirements and specifications
• Proven ability to prioritize tasks across multiple teams, stakeholders, and competing customer demands
• Capability to function as the primary Product Manager across several engineering teams
• Strong grasp of software development workflows, Git, source control, and contemporary developer tools
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with both engineers and customers
• Proficient in leveraging qualitative feedback, product data, and strategic context for effective product decisions
• Ability to work effectively with significant overlap in the Eastern Time zone
• Nice-to-have: experience with AI agents, coding assistants, code generation, or large language models
• Nice-to-have: experience with developer tools, code search, code intelligence, compilers, IDEs, or large-scale code transformation
• Nice-to-have: experience with enterprise customers and complex software development organizations
• Nice-to-have: comfort in exploring or contributing to a production codebase
• Base salary determined by IC4 pay band for the respective location zone
