Product Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Develop and maintain the product strategy and roadmap for Control, aligning client requirements, commercial objectives, and market insights into a prioritized backlog.

• Oversee daily delivery management of the engineering and QA team based in India, including conducting stand-ups, refining the backlog, and facilitating work across different time zones.

• Engage with clients across various regions, including conducting demonstrations, proof-of-value engagements, providing implementation support, and participating in ongoing solution discussions.

• Create requirements and specifications by converting business challenges into well-defined, sprint-ready user stories with acceptance criteria for the engineering team to act upon.

• Ensure cross-functional alignment with sales, customer success, marketing, and leadership teams within Coherent's Asia-Pacific and global operations.

• Provide go-to-market support by preparing release notes, conducting internal enablement, and participating in commercial discussions where in-depth product knowledge is essential.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5–8 years of experience in product management, demonstrating a successful history of guiding features from concept to production launch.

• Exceptional client-facing abilities, having led discovery sessions, demonstrations, proof-of-value initiatives, and implementation discussions with external clients, not merely internal stakeholders.

• Experience in a B2B setting catering to financial services clients, such as banking, insurance, asset management, or similar sectors.

• Proven expertise in managing or coordinating offshore or distributed engineering teams, with effective communication, precise written specifications, and maintenance of delivery rhythms across time zones.

• Proficient at transforming vague business requirements into structured roadmaps and actionable sprint-level tasks.

• Strong written communication skills, as much of the stakeholder management occurs asynchronously across different regions.

• A solid understanding of how spreadsheets are utilized to manage operational, pricing, actuarial, or financial processes within organizations, as this is the environment in which our product operates.
