Product Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Japan.

📋 Description

• Thoroughly analyze user feedback and various data sources to identify key opportunities and customer challenges; initiate user research whenever issues are unclear.

• Leverage AI tools to enhance discovery, specification, and prototyping processes (e.g., creating rapid mock flows, drafting requirements, and developing testable prototypes).

• Collaborate with product designers to decompose problems into separate, enjoyable experiences.

• Maintain an agile backlog of impactful, time-saving features in coordination with your engineering colleagues.

• Work alongside Engineering and Design teams to assess the feasibility, quality, and risks (accuracy, privacy, security, and reliability) of AI versus non-AI solutions.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to expedite go-to-market strategies and ensure successful user adoption.

• Continuously refine your understanding of which features will optimize user time savings.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Product Management positions involving regular interaction with customers.

• Flexible in progress management, assisting the team in remaining adaptable while consistently addressing critical blockers.

• Capable of assuming various roles to enhance the team's shipping speed.

• Possesses a diverse set of problem analysis and prioritization techniques supported by tangible results.

• Practical experience in utilizing AI for prototyping ideas and accelerating iterations (e.g., Figma Make, Notion, Zapier/n8n, vibe coding).

• Strong communication skills with the ability to lead without formal authority.

• Proficiency in English for effective communication (essential).

• Proficiency in Japanese for effective communication (highly preferred).

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Prior experience with a legaltech provider or a legal academic background (preferable).

• Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment for over 1 year (preferable).

• Background in AI involving human-in-the-loop design, evaluation/QA, failure modes, and iteration based on user feedback (preferable).

• Experience collaborating with engineers on system design to assess AI feasibility, quality, and risks (preferable).
