Product Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the data science product roadmap, ensuring alignment between business objectives and model development priorities.

• Handle incoming requests from Sales and Customer Success teams, assessing and prioritizing them based on their business impact.

• Convert high-level business objectives into detailed product requirements for the Data Science squad and engineering organization.

• Supervise the model development lifecycle, which includes dataset validation, evaluating model trade-offs, and considering cost factors.

• Guarantee model quality and reliability prior to production, proactively identifying issues during the development phase.

• Establish success metrics and outline data science initiatives in partnership with technical teams.

• Facilitate coordination among teams with a product-first approach, balancing timely delivery with strategic insights.

• Serve as the primary liaison between the data science team and the wider engineering organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in product or program management, preferably in data-centric or technical environments within the financial services or regulated industries.

• 2 to 4 years of experience overseeing a data science or similar technical team (Essential).

• Comprehensive knowledge of data science lifecycles, including the ability to scope initiatives and define success metrics (Essential).

• Demonstrated experience in creating high-quality and robust training data for model development.

• Familiarity with large-scale datasets (e.g., millions of records in user-generated content settings).

• Capacity to identify and resolve model issues prior to production deployment.

• Strong product-oriented mindset combined with sufficient project management skills to coordinate across distributed teams.

• Experience in managing incoming requests and aligning diverse stakeholders (Sales, Customer Success, Engineering).
