
Product Line Director – Optical Transceivers

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland, +2 more states.
• Take full responsibility for product line P&L, driving revenue growth, enhancing gross margins, and achieving operating income goals.
• Formulate and implement a global product line strategy that aligns with business objectives and long-term market prospects.
• Create and sustain product roadmaps, business plans, and go-to-market strategies for both existing and future products.
• Recognize and assess growth opportunities within aerospace, defense, and space sectors, including new applications and related areas.
• Conduct market, customer, and competitive analysis to inform portfolio optimization and investment strategies.
• Convert customer and market needs into unique, ruggedized optical solutions in collaboration with the Engineering team.
• Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from inception to launch, production, and end-of-life decisions.
• Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to establish product positioning, messaging, pricing strategies, and sales support tools.
• Directly engage with key customers and strategic prospects, acting as the customer advocate throughout the organization.
• Lead, develop, and mentor a global Product Line Management (PLM) team while enhancing organizational capabilities and succession planning.
• Work cross-functionally to enhance execution, operational alignment, and customer satisfaction.
• Contribute to strategic initiatives, including partnerships, acquisitions, and other avenues for inorganic growth.
• A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Proven experience in owning and managing product line P&L responsibilities.
• Background in leading product management or product line teams within aerospace, defense, space, or other high-reliability sectors.
• Familiarity with electrical and/or optical systems utilized in complex, mission-critical applications.
• Experience working collaboratively with Engineering, Sales, Operations, and Marketing to achieve business objectives.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, up to 50% of the time.
