Product Engineer – PM

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the roadmap for your pod: determine what gets developed, eliminate low-impact tasks, and safeguard your engineers' time and concentration.

• Create specifications that focus on the issue at hand rather than the solution, ensuring every brief includes a definitive success criterion.

• Engage in technical tasks: review the codebase, debug independently, and implement minor changes when it's more efficient than switching contexts for an engineer.

• Manage QA comprehensively: develop test plans, execute regression tests, approve releases, and monitor post-deploy performance using Sentry and Grafana.

• Maintain momentum within the pod: make quick decisions, prioritize asynchronous communication, and eliminate any ambiguity regarding next steps.

• Establish a feedback loop among customers, data, and product strategy, holding yourself accountable for the KPIs you set.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in product management within a B2B SaaS, startup, or rapidly scaling environment.

• A practical technical background: experience with production code, completion of a coding bootcamp, or a proven ability to navigate a full-stack codebase.

• Proficient in reading Python and JavaScript/TypeScript; capable of writing SQL, understanding REST contracts, and tracking frontend state.

• Demonstrated ownership of QA processes: developing test cases, conducting regression cycles, creating structured bug reports, and approving releases.

• Daily experience with Claude Code or a comparable tool. Not just open to using it, but actively utilizing it.

• Exceptional written communication skills. Your specifications are clear and comprehensive on the first read-through.
