Product Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Bulgaria.

📋 Description

• Implements solutions across the entire stack: backend, frontend, the IDE extension, and conversion logic, utilizing Python or other adopted languages.

• Delivers features according to specifications using agents as the primary implementation tool, while also drafting specifications for simpler, well-defined features (subject to Cristiano's review).

• Acts as a modernization expert: possesses in-depth knowledge of how Informatica, SSIS, Talend, and IICS objects correspond to dbt, Fivetran, and the data warehouse.

• Exhibits a genuine understanding of the code they integrate. Reviews, critiques, and can articulate the purpose of every line.

• Creates failing tests based on the acceptance criteria from specifications as a prerequisite. No tests equate to no pull request.

• Records every agent failure mode into the team's prompt and skill backlog.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1 to 5 years of experience in software engineering, or a solid portfolio showcasing self-directed projects.

• Daily utilization of at least one agentic coding tool (such as Claude Code, Cursor, or an equivalent), rather than occasional use.

• Capable of writing and reading code throughout the stack, primarily in Python, including frontend tasks and an IDE extension.

• Proficient in SQL and possesses a foundational understanding of data transformation concepts. Familiarity with dbt, Fivetran, Snowflake, or Databricks is advantageous but not mandatory.

• Proven ability to identify incorrect agent outputs. A specific instance of an agent failure you identified and rectified will be necessary during the interview.

• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred, or equivalent practical experience will be considered.
