This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +2 more states.
• Oversee the entire product and solution development lifecycle from initial concept to pilot execution and eventual scaling into market-ready offerings.
• Collaborate with team members from the Advanced Solutions Group and field leadership to pilot and improve innovative jobsite solutions.
• Work alongside regional teams to ensure readiness for deployment and maximize organizational adoption.
• Coordinate with Sourcing and IT to confirm solution viability and ensure compatibility within the operational framework.
• Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to prototype and assess new technologies.
• Identify new and emerging technologies that align with customer requirements and objectives in safety, productivity, and sustainability.
• Test new technologies with internal teams and selected customers to validate their effectiveness and scalability.
• Refine solutions based on feedback from the field and actual performance metrics.
• Assist in go-to-market strategies and coordinate rollout plans in collaboration with the Digital Customer Success Team.
• Act as a subject matter expert within the Advanced Solutions Group and serve as the primary contact for innovative technologies and solutions.
• Aid in the preparation of strategic proposals, which include financial assessments, alternatives analysis, and market evaluations.
• Strengthen relationships with sales teams to enhance field engagement and value delivery.
• Travel approximately 50% of the time and remain located near a major airport.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; advanced technical or business training is a plus.
• Over 5 years of experience in product development, project management, or R&D.
• Proven experience in introducing and managing complex technical solutions within customer environments.
• Capability to develop strategic proposals and execute business-focused rollout plans.
• Strong knowledge of construction technologies, including IoT, AI, and sensor-based systems.
• Preferred background in telematics and connected technologies such as Bluetooth, Zigbee, LoRaWAN, GPS, cellular, access management, robotics, and RFID.
• Demonstrated success in cross-functional collaboration and team-oriented settings.
• Familiarity with United Rentals’ internal systems and relationships across various regions is advantageous.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint and Excel.
• Solid understanding of civil construction practices.
• Knowledge of site access, equipment access, and worker insight offerings.
• Ability to foster and maintain relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Passion for innovation with a proven history of delivering results through technology.
• Willingness to travel 50% of the time.
