This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Review product designs and digital experiences to assess usability, clarity, visual appeal, and overall effectiveness.
• Analyze alternative product concepts and provide justification for preferences in product and visual choices.
• Evaluate aspects such as hierarchy, interaction patterns, information architecture, interface consistency, and user journeys.
• Identify areas of friction, confusing interactions, and opportunities for enhancing usability.
• Convert UX insights into clear and actionable recommendations.
• Assess layout, typography, spacing, hierarchy, color, visual consistency, refinement, and overall professional execution.
• Recognize inconsistencies among components, screens, and interaction states.
• Create product mockups and visual design concepts utilizing tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe design applications.
• Develop interface concepts that are suitable for comparative evaluation and research workflows.
• Iterate on designs in accordance with project guidelines and feedback.
• Apply design expertise to systematic AI research and evaluation tasks.
• Compare AI-generated product-design concepts to pinpoint recurring strengths and weaknesses.
• Offer structured feedback that encompasses both functional and aesthetic considerations.
• Contribute professional design judgment to research focused on AI-assisted product development.
• A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in Product Design, UX Design, UI/UX Design, Interaction Design, or a related field.
• Substantial professional experience in a recognized technology company or a similarly high-quality product environment.
• Advanced skills in Figma, Sketch, Adobe, or other comparable professional design tools.
• Proven ability to create polished product mockups and interface concepts.
• Strong grasp of user experience, user journeys, interaction design, and product usability.
• Exceptional visual judgment and meticulous attention to design details.
• Capability to evaluate product experiences from both functional and aesthetic viewpoints.
• Experience in working across web, mobile, or digital product interfaces.
• Strong written communication skills with the ability to articulate design decisions clearly.
• Comfortable working independently within structured research and evaluation workflows.
• Work must be performed without utilizing confidential or proprietary information belonging to any employer, client, institution, or third party.
• H1-B and STEM OPT support is not available for this engagement.
• Part-time independent contractor position.
• Fully remote work environment.
• Minimum commitment of 15 hours per week.
• Flexible scheduling based on project requirements.
• Paid design assessment for candidates selected to move forward.
• Project durations may be extended, shortened, or concluded based on project needs and performance.
