This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate closely with fellow product designers, product managers, engineers, and various stakeholders to contribute to Alley-oop, our Design System.
• Develop and maintain foundational patterns, UI components, and documentation while adhering to accessibility standards.
• Assist product designers in enhancing their workflows by creating reusable and adaptable interactive components that utilize variants, design tokens, and component properties.
• Anticipate the impact of components and styles in the system on users and optimize Figma libraries accordingly.
• Champion Alley-oop throughout the organization and aid cross-functional teams in its implementation.
• Clearly communicate and articulate your thoughts on design and processes to support your design decisions.
• Remain open and receptive to feedback, explore iterations, and provide constructive feedback to other product designers.
• Consistently focus on advancing the system by helping to shape the roadmap and governance model to enhance team and organizational processes.
• Perform other duties as required.
• A robust portfolio that demonstrates your process and experience in shaping Design Systems and full end-to-end experiences, utilizing design thinking and user research to inform decisions.
• A desire to develop your design leadership skills through mentorship while elevating the quality of design by actively seeking and providing feedback, communicating designs, and establishing standards for execution.
• Experience collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to identify user problems and frame them for impactful solutions.
• Ability to work independently and proactively, while recognizing when to involve others to expedite progress.
• Comfort in conducting internal or external workshops or presentations that convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience in designing for web and native platforms, with a focus on WCAG compliance and accessible design.
• Over 3 years of experience designing digital products and experiences, including native applications for both iOS and Android.
