This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take charge of the entire design process for features, including problem framing, discovery wireframes, research, visual design, prototyping, and handoff.
• Collaborate closely with product managers to thoroughly understand issues, define requirements, and co-create solutions.
• Design user-focused, accessible experiences that are grounded in member needs and guided by research, data, and clinical context.
• Develop clear, detailed design specifications and workflows that address edge cases, error states, and various user paths.
• Work directly with engineers to ensure accurate implementation of design intent and collaborate throughout the development phase.
• Contribute to the design system to uphold consistency and quality across the product.
• Actively engage in design critiques, providing and receiving feedback to elevate the team's standards.
• Collaborate with and receive mentorship from senior designers on the team, offering your insights while learning from their experiences on larger strategic projects.
• Engage in user research by conducting interviews, synthesizing insights, and translating them into actionable design choices.
• Balance user needs with business and clinical constraints, thoughtfully navigating trade-offs and clearly communicating decisions to cross-functional partners.
• 2–4 years of experience in product or UX design, preferably in a health tech environment.
• A portfolio showcasing strong visual design abilities and proficiency throughout the entire product development lifecycle.
• A solid foundation in interaction design combined with exceptional visual design skills. Comfortable designing for both native mobile (iOS/Android) and web platforms with a solid understanding of accessibility standards.
• A well-defined UX process and systems thinking approach. You tackle problems with thoughtfulness and intentionality, prioritizing usability and clarity in your designs.
• Proficient in designing and prototyping using Figma.
• Ability to connect design initiatives to product strategy and company priorities.
• Experience with photo editing using Adobe Photoshop or similar tools.
• Skilled in creating vector-based illustrations, capable of working within and extending an existing illustration style, contributing to a shared library, and helping to shape the product's visual language.
