This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Lead the entire design process for features, encompassing problem framing, discovery wireframes, research, visual design, prototyping, and handoff.
• Collaborate closely with product managers to gain a deep understanding of issues, shape requirements, and jointly develop solutions.
• Design user-centered and accessible experiences that are rooted in member needs and informed by research, data, and clinical context.
• Develop clear and detailed design specifications and workflows that account for edge cases, error states, and various user paths.
• Work directly with engineers to ensure accurate implementation of design intent, collaborating throughout the development phase.
• Contribute to our design system to uphold consistency and quality throughout the product.
• Actively participate in design critiques, providing and receiving feedback to elevate the team's standards.
• Collaborate with and learn from senior designers on the team, sharing your perspective while gaining insights from their experience on larger strategic projects.
• Engage in user research by conducting interviews, synthesizing insights, and translating them into actionable design decisions.
• Balance user needs with business and clinical constraints, thoughtfully navigating trade-offs and clearly communicating decisions to cross-functional partners.
• 2–4 years of experience in product or UX design, preferably within a health tech company.
• A portfolio that showcases strong visual design skills and proficiency across the entire product development lifecycle.
• A solid foundation in interaction design coupled with strong visual design abilities. Comfortable designing for both native mobile (iOS/Android) and web, with an understanding of accessibility standards.
• Strong UX process and systems thinking. You approach challenges thoughtfully and intentionally, prioritizing usability and clarity in your designs.
• Proficient in creating prototypes using Figma.
• Capable of linking design work to product strategy and company priorities.
• Experience in photo editing using Adobe Photoshop or a similar tool.
• Experience in creating vector-based illustrations, with the ability to work within and extend an existing illustration style, contribute to a shared library, and help shape the product's visual language.
