Product Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.

📋 Description

• We are seeking a Product Designer to contribute to the next evolution of our platform.

• This position is ideal for a thoughtful and highly skilled mid-level designer capable of working across discovery, interaction design, prototyping, and delivery within an increasingly AI-driven product landscape.

• This is a hands-on role where you will collaborate closely with Product Management, Engineering, Data Science, and fellow designers to address intricate workflow, data, and usability challenges throughout our platform.

• We desire a candidate who merges solid product and UX principles with the ability to act swiftly, think systemically, and leverage modern AI-enabled design workflows to enhance learning and iteration.

• Our platform aids elite sports organizations in making pivotal decisions regarding performance, health, and operations.

• Within this context, design transcends aesthetic enhancement; it shapes how information is perceived, simplifies complexity, and empowers users to act confidently in fast-paced, high-pressure situations.

• You should be adept at navigating ambiguity to achieve clarity while balancing user requirements, business objectives, and technical limitations.

• You should also have practical experience with generative AI design tools and lightweight code-based, "vibe coded" prototypes as part of the design workflow, particularly for rapid idea exploration, early concept testing, and improved collaboration with engineers.

• You will be part of a small, skilled, and highly collaborative design team. We engage across the product, collaborating with squads where significant value and innovation can be realized. We seek someone who is proactive, self-driven, and committed to delivering high-quality work to completion.

⛳️ Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in a software product design role.

• Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, or equivalent practical experience.

• An outstanding online portfolio that demonstrates your thinking, UX, UI, and visual design skills.

• Proven experience collaborating closely with development teams to create web products.

• Ideal candidates will have prior experience in the sports sector.

• Comprehensive experience from initial research through to designing user journeys.

• Strong experience utilizing generative AI design tools in daily design tasks.

• Practical experience in creating lightweight code-based or “vibe coded” prototypes to explore and communicate product concepts.

• Familiarity with tools like Figma Make and contemporary prototyping environments, including those utilized with platforms such as Vercel.

• Working knowledge of LLM-based systems, predictive models, and AI-driven product features.

• Comfort designing for explainability, human oversight, and trust in AI contexts.

• Curiosity regarding emerging interaction models such as conversational UI, voice, multimodal input, and agent-like workflows.

• A robust portfolio showcasing strategic thinking, UX depth, and visual clarity.

• Proven systems thinking ability, with the capacity to design coherent experiences across complex and interconnected workflows.

• Experience in building or scaling a design system.

• Capability to operate at both the platform and interaction detail levels.

• Clear communication of trade-offs and design rationale.

• Proactive, collaborative, and driven to achieve high standards and conclusions.

• Comfortable with ambiguity and skilled at creating clarity.

• Open to feedback and capable of engaging constructively in critique and iteration.

• Able to balance speed and quality in a dynamic product environment.

• Strong ownership mindset without the necessity of formal authority.
