This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Perform both qualitative and quantitative user research, which includes interviews, surveys, shadowing, and usage analytics to gain insights into workflows and user challenges.
• Analyze the results to identify efficient, adaptable, and uniform workflows that meet user demands. Develop design artifacts (such as user journeys, personas, and storyboards) to effectively convey design concepts and strategies.
• Convert research findings into polished, high-fidelity designs utilizing tools like Figma and others.
• Continuously enhance ideas and designs by integrating user feedback through usability testing, prototypes, and other interactive methods.
• Assess, select, and implement a leading design system framework (like Material UI, Ant Design, Chakra UI, or Tailwind CSS).
• Boost design and developer productivity by creating a component library (using Storybook or similar tools). Enrich both the design system and style guide with content, including typography, color schemes, iconography, and component guidelines.
• Ensure that designs comply with accessibility standards (WCAG guidelines) and are scalable for future iterations of the platform.
• Collaborate with developers to guarantee a seamless transition and implementation of design assets.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to synchronize design objectives with business goals.
• Assist in planning and executing beta testing to validate design effectiveness, making iterations based on feedback to enhance usability and satisfaction.
• Over 6 years of experience in both Product and/or UX design roles, with an emphasis on SaaS platforms, enterprise applications, and/or extensive platform redesigns.
• Proficient in creating and/or maintaining scalable design systems and style guides for SaaS platforms. A strong portfolio showcasing impactful UX design projects and case studies is essential.
• Research & Design: Expertise in user research methodologies, workflow mapping, wireframing, and prototyping.
• Design Tools: High proficiency in Figma. Familiarity with Storybook (or similar platforms) for developing and managing high-fidelity designs.
• Technical Proficiency: Experience in building components with Material UI, Tailwind CSS, or other responsive design frameworks.
• Collaboration: Strong communication skills and reliability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Presentation Skills: Excellent storytelling and presentation capabilities.
• Leadership: Proven experience in mentoring or leading design teams/projects.
