This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.

📋 Description

• Deliver models that enhance personalized in-app experiences by anticipating user preferences based on real-time behavior, family context, and engagement history.

• Identify significant trends in product usage data — including communication, scheduling, and activity signals — and create models that convert these trends into in-app suggestions, alerts, and guidance for families.

• Transition from fixed UI logic to algorithmic decision-making that evolves with each app launch.

• Develop churn, retention, and activation models to assist Product in understanding which behaviors forecast long-term value and which interventions are beneficial to implement.

• Create predictive segmentation, propensity, and uplift models that are continuously updated through automated pipelines, ensuring that the business is always informed by current signals.

• Collaborate with Finance on cohort-level subscriber and revenue forecasting, lifetime value by acquisition source, and sensitivity analysis on critical assumptions.

• Construct pricing, promotional, and refund-risk models that assess the financial implications of monetization strategies prior to implementation.

• Train, deploy, and monitor models using Databricks and AWS, utilizing Claude Code as the primary engineering interface.

• When appropriate, encapsulate models within managed agents to integrate predictions into existing stakeholder workflows.

• Shift the team's focus from "what happened" to "what could happen" through uplift modeling, geo-tests, and A/B analysis grounded in appropriate causal frameworks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience delivering predictive models in production, preferably in areas such as personalization, behavioral prediction, lifecycle machine learning, or subscription forecasting.

• Proficient in Python and SQL, with hands-on experience in Databricks and AWS.

• Proven track record with subscription or consumer-app metrics, including LTV, churn, retention, activation, and forecasting.

• Strong understanding of experimentation and causal methodologies (A/B testing, DiD, uplift, geo-tests, or similar).

• Adherence to production standards — including feature pipelines, model monitoring, and retraining schedules.

🏝️ Benefits

• Medical: In Tandem covers 100% of the premium for employees and 99% for all additional family members.

• 401k: Offers up to a 4% match with immediate vesting.
