This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.
• Deliver models that enhance personalized in-app experiences by anticipating user preferences based on real-time behavior, family context, and engagement history.
• Identify significant trends in product usage data — including communication, scheduling, and activity signals — and create models that convert these trends into in-app suggestions, alerts, and guidance for families.
• Transition from fixed UI logic to algorithmic decision-making that evolves with each app launch.
• Develop churn, retention, and activation models to assist Product in understanding which behaviors forecast long-term value and which interventions are beneficial to implement.
• Create predictive segmentation, propensity, and uplift models that are continuously updated through automated pipelines, ensuring that the business is always informed by current signals.
• Collaborate with Finance on cohort-level subscriber and revenue forecasting, lifetime value by acquisition source, and sensitivity analysis on critical assumptions.
• Construct pricing, promotional, and refund-risk models that assess the financial implications of monetization strategies prior to implementation.
• Train, deploy, and monitor models using Databricks and AWS, utilizing Claude Code as the primary engineering interface.
• When appropriate, encapsulate models within managed agents to integrate predictions into existing stakeholder workflows.
• Shift the team's focus from "what happened" to "what could happen" through uplift modeling, geo-tests, and A/B analysis grounded in appropriate causal frameworks.
• Over 5 years of experience delivering predictive models in production, preferably in areas such as personalization, behavioral prediction, lifecycle machine learning, or subscription forecasting.
• Proficient in Python and SQL, with hands-on experience in Databricks and AWS.
• Proven track record with subscription or consumer-app metrics, including LTV, churn, retention, activation, and forecasting.
• Strong understanding of experimentation and causal methodologies (A/B testing, DiD, uplift, geo-tests, or similar).
• Adherence to production standards — including feature pipelines, model monitoring, and retraining schedules.
