This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Provide legal advice to Product, Engineering, and various cross-functional stakeholders throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Evaluate and analyze new products, features, and initiatives, offering timely, business-focused legal counsel that balances risk management with innovation and execution speed.
• Advise teams on intellectual property, software licensing, privacy, AI, security, and regulatory matters that impact company products.
• Create scalable legal guidance, policies, playbooks, and training materials that enable teams to make well-informed decisions.
• Collaborate with commercial, privacy, security, compliance, and corporate legal colleagues to address cross-functional legal challenges and foster alignment.
• Stay updated on emerging legal, regulatory, and industry trends and convert them into actionable guidance.
• Carry out other related duties and responsibilities as needed or assigned.
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar.
• 4-7 years of pertinent legal experience advising SaaS companies.
• Provide high-quality legal analysis, meticulous attention to detail, and effective execution across a diverse range of product counseling issues.
• Excellent communication abilities (both oral and written) with the capacity to clearly articulate and defend risk analysis while effectively conveying complex concepts to technical, business, legal, and executive audiences.
• Function effectively in ambiguous, fast-paced environments while managing competing priorities and business objectives to achieve results.
• Innovative mindset with the ability to devise solutions where others perceive obstacles.
• Experience advising companies in software, SaaS, cloud infrastructure, and developer tools on open-source software licensing, compliance, and governance is a plus.
• Familiarity with using AI tools (such as Claude or similar) to improve legal workflow efficiency.
