Product Architect – AI, Digital Products

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• Identify emerging AI technologies that have the potential to enhance digital customer experiences and generate business value.

• Convert business opportunities into innovative and scalable technical solutions across digital products and interconnected customer experiences.

• Create rapid prototypes and proof-of-concepts to assess product concepts and technical viability.

• Assess commercial platforms, open-source technologies, and AI services for specific use cases.

• Design AI-driven applications utilizing Large Language Models, Retrieval-Augmented Generation, semantic search, vector databases, and intelligent automation.

• Architect AI agents and multi-agent workflows to streamline customer and business processes.

• Develop secure integrations among AI services, enterprise systems, cloud platforms, and digital products.

• Create reference architectures and reusable digital capabilities for scaling in production environments.

• Collaborate with Product Managers, Platform Architects, and Engineering teams on roadmaps and production-ready solutions.

• Establish engineering standards and best practices for AI applications, APIs, governance, observability, and responsible AI development.

• Act as a liaison between Product Strategy, AI Innovation, and Enterprise Engineering.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years of experience in designing enterprise software, digital products, or cloud-native applications.

• A robust software engineering background with expertise in Python and experience in developing production-grade applications.

• Proven experience in building applications utilizing Large Language Models and contemporary AI engineering methodologies.

• Experience in designing APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.

• Familiarity with AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms.

• A solid understanding of modern software architecture and cloud-native development practices.

• Experience with RAG, semantic search, embeddings, vector databases, prompt engineering, and AI agents.

• Competence in evaluating, benchmarking, and optimizing Large Language Models.

• Experience in designing guardrails, orchestration, and governance frameworks.

• Exceptional communication skills for articulating complex technical concepts to both technical and business audiences.
