This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Assist the Group Product & Chemical Compliance Team with activities related to product and chemical compliance.
• Conduct data analysis to evaluate compliance performance across the Group.
• Oversee the compliance team inbox by logging, assigning, and monitoring compliance requests.
• Delegate requests to the appropriate Coats technical leads.
• Generate and file approved compliance returns for internal stakeholders.
• Create monthly KPI reports detailing processed requests and workflow efficiency.
• Contribute to updates of the Coats Restricted Substances List and relevant testing methods.
• Manage supplier return data and monitor compliance exceptions along with Group-wide reporting obligations.
• Collaborate with Procurement teams and site Chemicals Officers to ensure compliance with the Coats RSL at production sites.
• Assist in coordinating the Group RSL testing schedule for Apparel & Footwear brand testing needs.
• Submit RSL testing applications via designated laboratories and brand platforms, with plans to take over this responsibility after training.
• Review and validate invoices from laboratories related to RSL test applications.
• Organize the triannual review and update of Coats Finished Goods Safety Data Sheets.
• Manage the statutory 10-year filing system for Group RSL returns.
• Oversee the Footwear Structural Component RSL reporting database, ensuring tracking of due dates and results.
• Maintain the Product Safety SharePoint page and supporting regulatory documents.
• Keep compliance reporting templates and the approved caveats database up to date.
• Monitor unit Higg FEM, SLCP, and ZDHC performance.
• Assist in the annual submission for the Group EcoVadis assessment.
• Identify opportunities for enhancing compliance processes, reporting, and data management.
• Support broader team and Group-level compliance projects as needed.
• A degree (or equivalent experience) in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, Materials/Textile Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in a business setting.
• Familiarity with legal regulations related to Health & Safety and Environmental standards.
• Proven experience managing data with accuracy.
• Strong numerical and analytical abilities.
• Excellent skills in prioritizing tasks.
• High attention to detail.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Previous experience in the textile or manufacturing sector is preferred.
• Working knowledge of global chemical regulations, including UK/EU REACH, RoHS, US EPA TSCA, Canadian DSL, Australian IChEMS, and California Prop 65 is desirable.
• Experience with Safety Data Sheets (SDS) is a plus.
• Familiarity with EcoVadis assessments is advantageous.
• Advanced skills in MS Excel are preferred.
