This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Execution of the monthly compensation workflow.
• Accurately implement monthly compensation workflow procedures for producer and broker compensation within designated timelines.
• Create and disseminate compensation statements utilizing standardized templates and analytical tools.
• Ensure the accuracy of payment amounts and adjustments prior to submission to payroll and accounts payable.
• Record accounting entries with appropriate debit and credit treatment across relevant systems.
• Collaborate with payroll and accounts payable to assist with producer and broker setup and documentation needs.
• Reporting and Data Analysis
• Develop complex compensation calculations and analytical reports by independently researching and interpreting data from various systems, transforming findings into a coherent narrative for management.
• Conduct ad-hoc reporting and analysis concerning a producer’s book of business as required.
• Examine anomalies, clarify variances, and present findings in a clear manner.
• Data Integrity and System Validation
• Comprehend the creation, coding, and processing of policy invoices in the agency management system to identify billing and coding issues affecting compensation.
• Read and interpret producer employment agreements to ascertain correct compensation treatment and perform necessary calculations.
• Reconcile and address discrepancies between contract terms, system records, and compensation outputs by tracing issues to their root causes.
• Collaborate with account managers and operations teams to coordinate updates to producer coding, rates, splits, and profile setup in the AMS.
• Document key decisions, adjustments, and outcomes with comprehensive, audit-ready support.
• Producer Support & Issue Resolution
• Act as the main point of contact for producers regarding questions related to compensation statements, payments, coding, and related inquiries.
• Investigate and resolve inquiries by navigating various systems and datasets; communicate outcomes clearly and professionally to producers, finance teams, and business leaders.
• 2–4 years of experience in accounting, compensation, financial operations, or a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Practical experience with agency management or invoicing systems.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, including lookup functions, conditional aggregation, nested formulas, and familiarity with Power Query.
• Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals adequate for preparing and recording journal entries accurately.
• Ability to independently integrate data from various sources, apply sound judgment, and present findings in a clear narrative for management.
• Comfort in working with large, messy, and imperfect datasets across multiple systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
