📋 Description

• The Procurement Specialist leads procurement initiatives across a significant CAPEX materials and services portfolio for a power company.

• This role is accountable for translating procurement strategies into actionable outputs, decisions, and implemented contracts, while consistently spotting opportunities to enhance cost efficiency and supplier performance.

• The position integrates the management of procurement models, sourcing execution, supplier engagement, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure timely, cost-effective, and risk-managed procurement results.

• Take ownership of and manage end-to-end procurement processes, including RFQs/RFPs, bid assessments, negotiations, and award execution.

• Oversee procurement timelines and ensure they align with project schedules, milestones, and delivery requirements.

• Monitor and maintain procurement logs, award trackers, and supplier status updates, including dashboard trackers and reporting frameworks.

• Formulate sourcing strategies that balance cost, schedule, quality, and risk considerations.

• Evaluate supplier markets and identify competitive pricing benchmarks.

• Assist in commercial negotiations, addressing pricing, terms, and risk distribution.

• Continuously seek out cost-saving and value optimization opportunities.

• Manage complex Excel-based procurement and pricing models, ensuring precision.

• Conduct thorough analysis of bids, cost structures, and supplier proposals.

• Maintain cost comparisons, cost models, and benchmarking analyses.

• Produce procurement reports, summaries, and executive-ready materials.

• Act as the primary point of contact for suppliers.

• Foster cross-functional alignment with various business teams regarding specifications, scope, and timelines.

• Assist in resolving supplier issues, delivery risks, and commercial disputes.

• Aid in the review and execution of contracts, purchase orders, and commercial agreements.

• Identify and manage procurement risks, including supply chain, pricing, and contract vulnerabilities.

• Detect gaps in existing procurement processes and implement enhancements to workflows, templates, and tools.

• Standardize RFP formats, evaluation criteria, and supplier communication strategies.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree is required (preferably in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, or a related field).

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or consulting with a focus on procurement.

• Experience supporting high-value CAPEX procurement programs (in the billions).

• Preferred industry experience in power, energy, or infrastructure procurement.

• Experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain within EPC, infrastructure, or capital project settings.

• Strong ability to evaluate supplier proposals and negotiate effectively.

• Proven capability to independently manage procurement processes from initiation to contract award.

• Advanced proficiency in Excel, with the ability to create and refine complex procurement and pricing models.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to convert data into clear, actionable insights.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

• Capability to thrive in a fast-paced, execution-oriented consulting environment.

• Highly organized with a keen attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple concurrent workstreams.

• Experience in management consulting with a sourcing or procurement emphasis is advantageous.
