Procurement Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Ensure adherence to policies and procedures, and/or oversee the sourcing process.

• Accountable for creating suitable product/service specifications in collaboration with a business area and/or Procurement Manager to effectively convey business requirements to suppliers.

• Initiates or assists with various straightforward sourcing processes by acquiring competitive pricing from suppliers through the creation, distribution, and receipt of Requests for Quotations (RFQ).

• Engages in negotiations regarding costs and delivery timelines to establish pricing and performance benchmarks via Purchase Orders (PO's) with suppliers.

• Issues Purchase Orders (PO's) as required or generated.

• Oversees the delivery of services and evaluates supplier performance.

• Aids in the preparation and processing of supplier contract documents.

• Utilizes existing departmental tools to enter/update, track, and monitor all acquisition contracts throughout the various stages of contract management, including updating relevant information sources and document creation/filing.

• Tracks project task reporting to assist in managing software licensing & hardware maintenance processes under the Procurement group's responsibilities, including renewal management.

• Executes other tasks or projects as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred, or an equivalent global experience.

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in purchasing and/or indirect procurement is required.

• Must have a comprehensive understanding of office procurement needs, with extensive knowledge of technology (hardware/software).
