Procurement Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Oversee procurement activities for designated categories, vendors, and purchasing requirements.

• Evaluate purchase requisitions to ensure compliance with business needs and company policies.

• Identify potential vendors, gather quotations, assess proposals, and assist in vendor selection processes.

• Negotiate pricing, lead times, payment conditions, and other commercial terms within authorized limits.

• Develop, issue, and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely follow-ups.

• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to monitor deliveries, address order issues, and uphold service continuity.

• Keep procurement documentation, supplier records, pricing information, and contract details organized.

• Monitor supplier performance and escalate any service, quality, or delivery issues as necessary.

• Assist with supplier onboarding, contract renewals, bidding events, and other procurement-related administrative functions.

• Work in partnership with Finance, Legal, Operations, IT, and other departments to ensure procurement aligns with company objectives.

• Identify opportunities for cost savings, sourcing efficiencies, and process enhancements.

• Aid in reporting related to expenditures, vendor performance, savings, and procurement activities.

• Facilitate internal and external audit requests by supplying necessary procurement documents and records.

• Ensure adherence to procurement policies, internal controls, and approval procedures.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, Operations, or a related field.

• A minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in procurement, purchasing, sourcing, or supply chain operations.

• Experience in managing vendors, processing purchase orders, comparing quotes, and handling procurement workflows.

• Understanding of procurement controls, supplier management best practices, and contract processes.

• Capability to work efficiently in a cross-functional and deadline-oriented environment.
