• Collaborate with internal project teams, corporate departments, and suppliers to ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Generate complex Purchase Order Requests and manage Change Orders that are structured and coded according to contract terms and the direction of the Project Manager.
• Monitor order status and expedite when necessary.
• Serve as a backup for the pre-qualification team: Verify that subcontractor qualifications have been completed and are current.
• Review and monitor contracts, subcontractor insurance, and vendor invoices to ensure accuracy and compliance with contract policies.
• Guarantee precise invoice coding in Concur prior to submission for Project Manager approval.
• Collaborate closely with project teams to fulfill material needs for projects.
• Identify opportunities for enhancements in the purchasing process.
• Assist with contract management and negotiations, providing recommendations on proposed business terms.
• A Bachelor’s degree along with three years of relevant experience, or seven years of relevant experience, preferably in an engineering, procurement, and construction setting.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in purchasing or subcontract management, including the bid, evaluation, award cycle, agreement execution, change execution, price and schedule negotiations, and commercial strategy.
• Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Capability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
• Ability to adapt to changes as the priorities associated with this position frequently shift.
• Competent in working both autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
• Proactive and self-driven.
• Skilled at identifying issues, assessing situations, presenting problems, and making informed decisions.
• Familiarity with business administration processes, software, techniques, and business ethics.
