• Engages in the comprehensive procurement process across the organization, encompassing strategic sourcing, negotiation with suppliers and contracts, project management, cost management, program adherence, and relationship management with suppliers.
• Accountable for sourcing goods and services such as packaging, staffing, office supplies, travel services, industrial supplies, safety uniforms, and capital expenditures.
• Collaborate with and support internal stakeholders to fulfill all procurement requirements, ensuring internal customer demands are met.
• Provide purchasing support for new business RFQs and offer implementation and transition assistance for all new facility startups or relocations.
• Identify and promote cost reduction initiatives in managed commodities utilizing a total cost of ownership (TCO) framework.
• Establish and consistently monitor the performance of strategic suppliers by identifying areas for improvement in on-time delivery, competitive pricing, supply assurance, responsiveness, quality, and corporate responsibility, through scorecards and regular meetings.
• Develop cost models and industry analyses to assess expected costs for services and/or goods compared to supplier quotations.
• Oversee contract compliance for all agreements within assigned categories; analyze SAP and vendor reports, interpret data, and report trends and anomalies.
• Monitor and comprehend category spending to make informed decisions based on key data metrics.
• Identify and pursue organization-wide cost-saving opportunities, which involves managing competitive bid processes and negotiating with suppliers.
• Efforts include but are not limited to: researching internal stakeholders and supplier operations, engaging stakeholders to support opportunities, developing project management action plans, creating and distributing Requests for Proposal or Quotation, analyzing suppliers' value propositions and presenting findings, negotiating terms and drafting contracts, planning and facilitating implementation, delivering progress and financial reports, and overseeing all data and insights derived from projects.
• Identify and support projects aimed at enhancing the procurement process.
• Undertake additional project work as necessary.
• A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or Operations is required.
• 2-5 years of experience in a Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, or Buying role related to indirect goods and services.
• Strong foundation and understanding of business management and contract law.
• Familiarity with procurement systems and management of those systems.
• Ability to engage in strategic planning while simultaneously supporting daily tactical operations.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office software products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Strong expertise in Project Management, business analysis, and reporting.
• Skills in building and managing relationships with customers and suppliers.
• Leadership abilities, interpersonal skills, and the capacity to influence others.
• Advanced organizational skills, along with planning and prioritization capabilities.
• Capacity to multitask and adapt to changing circumstances.
• Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
