Processing Systems Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Oversee, assist, and enhance the ATM switching platform along with associated payment applications.

• Introduce new features and system enhancements according to business needs, including out-of-hours support when necessary.

• Work collaboratively with internal teams and external vendors to establish requirements, validate deliverables, and implement changes.

• Provide operational assistance to guarantee that platform performance aligns with established SLAs.

• Conduct scheduled maintenance to ensure the stability and availability of the system.

• Create and sustain scripts (SQL, batch jobs, or software) to facilitate system operations.

• Prepare and manage ATM downloads, configurations, and updates to screens.

• Serve as a technical contact point for internal stakeholders, ensuring excellent customer service.

• Recognize areas for enhancement and contribute to ongoing improvement initiatives.

• Take part in an out-of-hours on-call rotation.

• Keep precise technical documentation up to date.

• Assist in the training and onboarding of new and existing team members.

• Ensure adherence to GDPR and Information Security standards (ISO 27001).

• Occasionally travel within the UK or internationally as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least five GCSEs (A*–C or equivalent), including English and Maths.

• A degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related technology field.

• Experience interacting with external suppliers through phone, video conferencing, or in-person meetings.

• Professional and self-assured communication abilities.

• Familiarity with payment switch technologies (e.g. Authentic, Postilion, BASE24, Tango).

• Understanding of ATM hardware and software.

• Proficiency with NDC downloads and HTML.

• Knowledge of payment protocols such as Visa, Mastercard, ISO8583, LINK, or similar.

• Experience in supporting Windows-based environments.

• Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server or similar databases.
