Process Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Design water desalination and wastewater treatment facilities.

• Ensure adherence to client specifications, project timelines, quality standards, and budgetary constraints.

• Create mass balances and Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs).

• Prepare hydraulic profiles and initial plant layouts.

• Develop P&IDs and conduct hydraulic calculations, encompassing flow rates, pressures, flow velocities, pipe sizing, and material selection.

• Compile line, equipment, motor, instrument, valve, and I/O lists.

• Formulate technical specifications for equipment, instrumentation, and valves.

• Assist Procurement in selecting equipment and evaluating suppliers.

• Develop Sequences of Operations (SOO).

• Draft procedures for plant commissioning and start-up.

• Prepare Operation and Maintenance (O&M) manuals for the plant.

• Engage in technical meetings and provide engineering status updates.

• Collaborate with the project engineering team, reporting to the project manager and lead engineer.

• Provide on-call support during project launches as necessary.

• Facilitate plant commissioning through on-site business trips when required.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Water and Wastewater Engineering is required.

• At least 10 years of experience in the water/wastewater treatment sector.

• A minimum of 10 years of experience with engineering project firms is required.

• Practical experience in plant commissioning and start-up is a significant advantage.

• High level of proficiency in English (technical English).

• Strong understanding of water/wastewater treatment processes.

• Proven expertise with PFDs, mass and energy balances, P&IDs, data sheets, equipment suppliers, and technical assessments.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Outstanding self-learning aptitude.

• Strong organizational and planning abilities.

• Proficiency in creating technical presentations.

• Highly motivated, proactive, and diligent.

• Strong collaboration and communication skills.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD is mandatory.

• Proficiency in MS Office.

• Ability to operate within company systems (shared folders) using provided credentials.

• Preference for working hours aligned with Israel Standard Time.

• Availability for on-call support during project launches.

• Willingness to travel for commissioning-related business trips when necessary.
