This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee all stages of the automation component of capital projects, which includes the initial design, detailed engineering, implementation, and commissioning stages.
• Promote safety by ensuring compliance with process safety work protocols and life-critical work procedures when operating in the field.
• Act as the technical expert on all project facets, guaranteeing that all technical outputs meet industry standards and best practices.
• Work closely with site leadership, engineering teams, and vendors to ensure effective project execution and to cultivate strong, productive partnerships.
• Track project milestones and deliverables, ensuring adherence to safety standards and regulatory obligations while maintaining the highest quality of work.
• Provide control system configuration services for North American sites.
• Offer Automation support to operational sites for lifecycle management, cybersecurity services, and other automation requirements.
• Travel may be necessary for commissioning or other project-related activities, which could include destinations in North America, South America, and the Asia Pacific regions.
• Willingness to travel approximately 25% domestically, with some international travel required.
• At least 10 years of experience in Controls Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience within Chemical, Petrochemical, or Pharmaceutical manufacturing environments.
• Demonstrated history of leading control-focused engineering initiatives.
• Familiarity with Distributed Control Systems (DCS) such as Emerson DeltaV, ABB 800xA, Foxboro, or Rockwell.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities, with a talent for influencing and engaging teams across all levels.
• In-depth knowledge of control philosophy for contemporary process plants and a solid understanding of production manufacturing processes and instrumentation.
