Privatization and Government Finance Policy Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Create policy research, commentaries, and various written materials that tackle significant issues in privatization.

• Demonstrate entrepreneurial spirit by identifying value-added policy initiatives alongside existing teams.

• Conduct research on financial issues at the federal, state, and local government levels.

• Assist team members in collaborating with elected officials, government managers, and relevant stakeholders aiming for impactful financial policy reforms.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Excellent analytical abilities.

• Proficiency or the ability to quickly learn data analysis and visualization tools such as R, Shiny Apps, and Tableau is preferred.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the capability to effectively explain complex ideas to non-experts.

• Familiarity with state legislative processes and practices.

• A sense of curiosity and self-drive to acquire new knowledge and address challenging technical issues you may have not encountered before.

• General alignment with the Reason Foundation’s mission to promote a free society through the development, application, and advocacy of libertarian principles.
