This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Directly oversee and manage a team of Patient Support Associates to guarantee medication adherence through effective refill management or timely and precise prior authorization and financial assistance support to help patients acquire their medications.
• Actively manage support within designated hospitals and/or clinics to ensure timely delivery of medications to patients.
• Lead and supervise a Patient Support team to ensure that all service level objectives are achieved, providing the highest quality of care to patients.
• Oversee all aspects of Absence Due to Personal (ADP), Paid Time Off (PTO), and Time Reports for team members.
• Conduct audits of the team in supported systems to ensure an efficient workflow.
• Manage responsiveness to new requests in supported systems.
• Provide front-line supervision along with continuous coaching and performance management for the Patient Support team.
• Monitor and act upon all forms of communication between the Patient Support team and other clinical teams as necessary.
• Collaborate with on-site management at hospital partners for any coordination calls, such as quarterly updates, kick-off meetings, and other necessary communications.
• Organize Patient Support team meetings: develop agendas, facilitate meetings, and follow up on action items.
• Conduct Hospital Management meetings: engage with on-site managers to review current situations, pinpoint areas for improvement, and recognize successes.
• Maintain records and notes for all collaboration calls and team meetings.
• Offer guidance, assistance, and troubleshooting for daily tasks to Patient Support team members as requested.
• Review and address any concerns raised by the Patient Support team and hospital partners as needed.
• Establish efficient workflows between the Patient Support team and liaison team through collaboration with the clinical integration team and on-site managers.
• Provide insights to various teams across the company for growth and development opportunities as necessary.
• Collaborate with multiple teams on special projects.
• Report on hiring needs based on implementation rollouts.
• Assist in interviewing and onboarding new team members.
• Coordinate access requests for new hires.
• Organize training in conjunction with the Clinical Training Team.
• Manage overflow work during periods of short staffing or high workloads.
• Investigate and research as needed for the data analytics and contracting teams.
• Manage relationships and workflows with on-site pharmacies through various tasks including claim reversals, delivery slips, care coordination, and phone communications.
• Exercise discretion and uphold confidentiality regarding highly sensitive and private data.
• Possess the ability to lead, manage, and inspire team members in both remote work environments and on-site Shields hub locations.
• A minimum of 3+ years of pharmacy technician experience is required (3-5+ years of experience in Specialty Pharmacy is preferred).
• Leadership experience is strongly preferred (e.g., Team Lead or a similar role, or experience leading other team members even if they do not directly report to you).
• Required Licensure/Certification: must be registered with the State of employment and nationally certified as a CPhT.
